It is the day we remember those who fought and died for our country.

This memorial day seems to hit closer to home than most, as one of my very best friends is getting ready to head into the Army Reserves. He has chosen to do so as a service to the country that has brought him and his family freedom. I have so much admiration and respect for him and the choice he's made. I am so proud of him and I know he is going to do so well. He is a hero for his decision to serve his country and fight for MY freedom. I am so thankful to know there are people like that out there on our front lines.
So thank you to those of you who have served... who are serving... who are going to serve... and all of their friends and family. You are truly heroes.

A beautiful blog...
Well done Diandra. Did you know Papa spent 11 years in the Army?
Loved your inclusion of the families who have stayed at home praying for their loved ones serving.
Grammie
Spill the details...
